Your overall composition is great. It is very comical and funny at the same time it is supposed to be more macabre. I LOVE images like this which is why I was so attracted to it. While this is a good piece to begin with, there are a few things I think you can do to enhance it.
Firstly, there is a lot here you can do with cropping. Play with your levels a little bit more. It would be cool to only see a portion of the red apple while the green apple is in full but still blurred. Or if you want the red apple to continue being the main subject of the piece, maybe it should stay in whole and the green apple be cropped a bit. That's just something to think about if you decide to re-shoot or something. Challenge yourself to make it more dynamic in different ways and it will make the overall photo more appealing.
Another thing you can do is play with your levels more. I like how in this, the red apple is closer to us and the green apple is slightly in the distance. If you make that distance more dramatic by bringing, say, the red apple closer to the front level, the whole composition will pop better.
You have a really good base of a photo here, but I don't think you're quite finished. Stellar idea though!
I really enjoyed this piece! The expressions made me giggle, there really funny! The way the picture is set up seems just right. If anything, I think the glare is a little to bright on the left side of the apple - I kept focusing on that instead of the expression on the food. Also, I would sugest playing with the composition of the photo, maybe playing around with the positions a couple times for it to seem just right. I love the originality that went into this - Zombie apple <3 Overall, great job, I hope you keep up the good work!
